2017 (Blinking)
Videographic and photographic installation
In the blink of an eye, during the pause which is generated every five seconds or so, images are created which repel the blindness allowing the eye to contemplate what it normally misses. Defying one’s own physiological reflexes to glimpse something from this blinding spot.
SAM
Three films draw a parallel between three fully dressed up characters, excerpts from the performances: Souffes, Air and Mettre en pièce(s). Slowing down the execution speed of movement reveals what the eye cannot perceive at normal speed, drawing attention to the vibrations of the body, to the density of the air, to the material or to the skin reaction.
A series of pictures taken from these performances surrounds and enlights the different temporalities implemented.
DDD
These facial expressions are intentionally slowed down, features composing and decomposing to the sounds made by mouths forming and contorting in an evolving frame. A shot with three dancers in a room next reunites these faces to bodies, the bodies to other bodies, these presences to a space.
